I'm blessed, life is treating me so well!!!

I met a great Canadian (the dad is from France) family in Mamallapurum a good week ago at this point, we spent some times together a few times, yesterday I spent the day with them.  Great family, gone on a trip around the world for a years, with there two teens, 13 and 14 years old.  I enjoyed our conversations, and it was fun to spend the day with them yesterday, visiting Ponducherry.  We visited a artisan paper factory, interesting process, especially the way they "paint" on some of the papers to create designs, like marble type "faut fini".  We also visited a local market - something like the Atwater Market for my Montreal friends or like the one in Ottawa.  Well... the Indian version.  I never thought we could fit so many things and people in a few square feet.

I don't have much time tonight, I'm doing amazing, more pics and vids to come soon, for now my card reader is with Nicolas, one of the teens, he is putting music on it for my phone!!! Yeah, a bit of variety!

I had an amazing day today, will tell you more about it soon, did my third yoga class with the same teacher, my abs are not liking it as much as my brain but that is all good!  I just repeat to myself: "I'll be sexy, it's worth it!"

So more to come soon, with visual I promis.

Metta your way!

Love you all!

Hi dad, Joce, Josee, Annabelle, and all of you amazing people in my life!  I'm having the time of my life!!!

Quelle belle journee!!!  What a beautfiul day!

We started the day early with a simple egg and toast breakfast, home made at our French hotel (it is not a restaurant, we had it in there kitchen), the coffee was the best one I had since I left Montreal (Emily, it doesn't beat yours!)

Then we left to find the tourist information center!  For my French friends, it was like "les 12 travaux d'Asterix, no joke!!!  We go to the address in the guide, but can't find it, it has moved (my guide is 2009).  We ask a lady, who knew where it was, yet didn't know how to direct us, so we don't find it.  We go to the French Aliance building and ask them, they send us in the wrong direction.  We ask a taxi driver, he says he doesn't know (we were 2 min walk from there, you would think a taxi driver would know).  etc.... until we get back in front of the first place we asked!  I then say: "Tabarnak!!" and with my loud voice the lady comes out of here office to ask if she can help.  Seeing the look of discouragement on our face, she ask someone to come with us and show us!  We find it, we had pass it 2 times already, yet the building is under construction, so we can't see what is written on it.  It is the tourist info center, you would think they would make sure tourist can find it!!!  We laugh, it was too good!

By the time we walk in, we are so wet it isn't funny!  I sit on the ceramic floor to look at brochures, of course a man suggest I can use the chairs... the floor is much cooler I answer, he thinks I'm a bit weird!!!  lol (I know I am).  We then discover that their is a botanical garden in Puducherry, I tell Helen, no need to go look for it, it probably has moved too!!!  We burst in laughter, everyone in there has a smile on their face by then, it's all good, Amazing India it is!

Then we rented a motor bike, Helen has her bike permits.  So not typical to have a cute sexy girl driving a motor bike, with the man behind her!  Guys were turning there heads a bit, I thought it was funny!  So we visited a bit, have not found the first place we were looking for, had a very hard time finding the second one.  It seams an address here is know only by the person living or working there (I'm exaggerating a bit, but not to much!)

This morning, while looking for the tourist place we have found a place to do yoga (which again seams hard to find, or hard to book, or you have to buy the next 10 classes, or the moon needs to be aligned with the sun... so we took rendez-vous for 6PM.  It was a great class, we both loved it!  We booked one more for tomorrow morning, I can't wait!  I also booked one in another place on Monday evening, its good, I'm starting to do yoga daily I hope for a few weeks at least!

For lunch we went in a very local only type restaurant, eat with our hands, food on a banana leaf instead of plates.  It was vegetarian only, very tasty and good service.  Total of the bill, for the two of us, complete lunch, glace of some kind of milk and chai tea, was 74Rs.  $1.50.  Wow!

I went to get my hair shave today, and face.  They do it like in the old days, with the blade in your face!!! loved it, the guy did my pinch almost like me, with lots of care.  Mini head massage and all!!!  It was filmed and there are a few pics... I'll upload them tomorrow if all goes well.

So life is amazing, I'm happy, healthy, doing yoga now and maybe a massage course next week, lets see if that follows through!

lots of metta your way!

Rickshaw driver very curious about Canada

it doesn't make it justice, it is a bat, at least 5pounds.

 Mamallapurum
 Puducherry
Mini temple, not to far from Puducherry that we got to on our seach for a beach the day we rented a scooter.  We were just the two of us, with David, the priest blessed us, it was special!

Mamallapurum in the morning, 5:30 am - no one is up but the fishermans!

 Fishermans in Mamallapurum

 600-700 AC temple

 I'm so strong!!!
Fake meditation moments!  lol

Notice how wet is my shirt, this is just sweating.  I have started buying local shirts, it is the only thing that will let air go through... Also note that the locals wears jeans and long shirts, it is cool at this time of year for them!!! Ouff, thank god for who ever invented fans!!!!

I am currently back in Puducherry, where there is many French people, mostly from France.  I have met a French girl in Mamallapurum two days ago and have decided to travel with her a bit.  We get along just fine, she is also a free spirit, we live in the same world, it is refreshing to share conversation with her!  I have parted with David two days ago, it was very fun to travel with him for a while but I think it was time for us to part.  We don't really live in the same world nor see life the same way.  He is an amazing soul, yet our interest are quite different.  I am thankful for meeting him!!!  It has allowed me some time to get use to the country, traveling here and all while being with someone.  also saved a bit of money sharing rooms and food!!

I have taken a kundulini yoga class, private, with an indian who spoke minimum English 2 days ago.  It was fun, yet not what I'm looking for.  Yesterday morning there was suppose to have a yoga class at 7am, when I got there a girl from Quebec was there waiting too, so we talk for a 20 mins or so, still no teacher.  She had talked to him the night before and had confirmed!!!  Got to love India!  So I gave her a class that she fully appreciated!  At least I'm doing yoga!

Big kiss and hugs to all of you,
Feel free to comments, ask questions, etc...

Still in Mamallapuram, I can't go, it is tooo beautiful!

I have a yoga class set up for 4PM today, lets hope it will work, my 8am was cancel.  Got to love India!  lol

Two days ago I bought silk, and had someone create a sleeping bag out of it.  A little cooler then the one I have, plus it is a natural way to keep some of the bed bugs out.  I have to say though that all the rooms I have been in up to now are pretty clean.

Last night I spend some times with a few locals, got drunk, eat on the beach, and got eaten by mosquitos like never before.  It's all good, it's part of the process.  I have a cold, even though it is really warm out here.  I get all wet from sweating to much and then go into a place that is super ventilated and get cold.

Yesterday I went for an ayurvedic massage again, 400Rs this time ($8ish), it was really good.  I have found the ashram I want to go to, it is in Neyyar Dam, in the South, in forest setting.

I spent time with some stone sculpters yesterday, they showed me how they do their art, it was very interesting, they are amazing at it.  I of course bought a little something.

I hurt the skin of my foot on the sand, while trying to body board, so I can't wear my sandals anymore.  I had a pair made especially for me, tailored exactly for my feet and so it will not touch my bruise. 500Rs ($10ish)

I'm still on budget, even less some days, so all is good!

Love to you all, and a warm hug filled with the ocean breeze!
Metta!

Demain on devrait me presenter quelqu'un... reste a voir!!!

Namaste everyone from Mamallapuram tamil nadu

WOW!!!  Beach, temples, ancient sites, clean air, cheap hotel and food!

Thanks for the good vibes, my health is all good!

Yesterday David and I rented a scooter in Puducherry, and we went out to "visit" the area.  Our goal was to find a beach, which we did, but on our way we also visited some places that were worthy of a movie scene, an not the hollywood ones.  We have ended up at a mini pyramidal temple where the priest open the temple for us, and blessed us.  What luck?!  After that we have found the beach and swam in warm water (warmer then the showers!) in the bay of Bangal.

This morning we hoped in a "taxi", nice care - private business - and headed to Mamallapuram.  I have decided that I will stay here a while, David will be heading back to Bangalore on the night of the 9th.  It was fun to have a friend for a few days, I have been more adventurous being the two of us, but I'm fine with finding myself on my own here.  They offer yoga classes, ayurvedic massage and therapy, plus they even offer thai massage!!!  This afternoon we are heading to the beach to do some bodyboard, should be a lot of fun.  We also are planing to find a fisherman to bring us on a boat trip!  Got to love life, hard to get better then this.

I hope I will find a teacher or two hear, learn some massage and yoga.  Not to sure how long I will stay but up to now, I'm loving it!!!

more to come soon!!!

Metta,

October 04, 2010

I left Bangalore yesterday, on a 8 hours bus, for $10 ish, to go ta pondicherry.  It is a French colony, not sure if anyone speaks French still, I have only been here for a few hours.

The bus ride was comfortable, AC and all, but not toilet on board.  We did stop a few times so we could have a bite and use the washrooms.

Pondicherry had about 200 000 people and I saw a few white people here that could look like they are living here, I guess I'll find out along the day.  It is by the Bay of Bangal, which feels like the ocean.  The weather is worm but don't think we can swim in the ocean because of pollution. I'll have to find that out too.

I'm with my new Canadian friend, we are getting alone pretty well and it feels good to be with someone when venturing out.  Tomorrow we will go to a small village that lives out of fishing, apparently we could easily go fishing with locals, that should be an experience!

I'm taking advantage of the fact that I can travel with someone for my first trip out of a big town, he is meeting a group for volunteer work on the 10th so back to being alone then.  At least I will feel a bit experienced next time I take a bus and go to a new city.

We have rented a scooter for the day, which would be impossible in a big city to drive around but we can manage here.  I'll be filming that and hope I can show you guys soon!

Now I don't want to make anyone nervous, but last night I steeped, up to my knee in ... I guess... ditch water.  My sandal got stuck, I reached up to my elbow to fetch it.  Thank god, write beside there was a mini food stand with a water facet, so I cleaned as much as I could.  Got to the hotel around 6:30 this morning and had a shower, yes, a real shower with hot water.  I have been feeling my gut act a bit, but that could also be my mind.  Took a bit of oregano oil and tea tree oil, probiotics, and I'm praying now!  Again, no worries, it is all good.  Plus I'm not alone!

I can't seam to find my usb cable for my camera, maybe just in the bottom of my bag or I lost it ... so I will have to get my pics on a CD before I can upload any, and that will have to wait for a big city, the PC I'm using now don't had CD, still has the diskette.

Well, send me good vibes so I don't get sick!  xx thanks !

October 03, 2010

So much to say, where to start.

Alvin is asking about cost: my second hotel is $16 a night, ac and hot water and regular toilette.
food is between $2-6 for a good meal
cell: $2 for unlimited internet for 30 days within the province, 200 locals text per day local and 500 min local airtime for each dollars on prepaid service. paid my phone $100 but i'm using it now to update my blog, i have facebook, emails and a full keypad, plus it is black and yellow!

rickshaw (mini taxi) are like 5-6 km for like $1, yet as a tourist the want to charge 2-3 time the price and not put the meeter. i'm getting good! night time is harder to negotiate.

met locals, visited on a moter bike with one guy i met, was soooo cool.

yesterday i met a canadian from saskatoon, we did souper and drinks, it was cool not to be the only white person. i had saw 3 other white people up to now. there are more in the more tourist zone witch i only visited yesterday.

pics to come as soon as i get a way to upload.

lots of love xx

Jour 3 / Day 3

Everything is going well, I am on the mission to getting a cellphone. It seams it will make my life easyier.  Although it is not an eazy mission, and I should know what to look for!!!

Food is good, last night I eat the most spicy food ever, today some other part of me felt the heat.  I guess I'll get used to that on the long run.

I took a few pics today, finally, soon to be uploaded I promise.

I've looked into a ayurvedic massage course, and for an ashram today.  Adaptation time is over, got to get productive!

Lots of love your way,
Metta!

Today I feel better about being here.  I'm slowly getting used to how things work and all, so it feels better.  Also, food is amazing and so are the people.

More to come soon!
Metta to all of you!  (means love and kindness or loving kindness)

September 27, 2010

Je suis en Inde!!! Tout va bien!
I'm in India, all is good.

I have to admit that I am a bit overwelled with the differences on my first day.  Thank God that Rahul (an indian friend of a good friend of mine) came and picked me up at the airport, and that he offered to spend some time with me this week to visit the city and help me get around in Bangalore.  He is a beautiful soul for sure, thanks again Manu for connecting us!

Today I didn't do much, went for a walk close to my hotel, I had a great lunch and fresh juce.  I slept a bit and now came to an Internet cafe.

I don't smell the smell that everyone told me about, maybe Bangalore is not to bad.  I mean, there was a new smell in the air when we got close to Bangalore, but nothing that bad, and I don't smell it anymore today.

Being alone here is a bit scary, not much reference from Canada!  I gathered my courage today when I had to go find lunch.  It went well, yet I felt uneasy a few times.  I will get use to it, I'm sure!

More to come soon, I promise.  I didn't take any pictures yet, be patient for that please!

Lots of love to all of you my friends!

Eiffel tour of course, needed the shot, was not the best time of day for the light but hey!  J'ai aussi une version de nuit; but it is not in jpeg...   I think it looks better from a distance, at night or in a movie!

Inside yard at the Louvre - cours intérieure du Louvre, what a beautiful building!!

Nice sky, not to far from the Louvre!

Night test shot, happy with my cam at this point - In le Marais - Photo de nuit test, j'es suis bien contant!

Here are a few videos from Paris.

From my room at my hostel, 15 min from DT by subway, for 100€ for 4 nigths it is pretty good!

from downtown looking at the Eiffel tower, I was coming back from a bar, there was an inturoption on the metro line so I had to walk to the next station.  I was happy when I came out and realised I was near the Eiffel Tower.

The last one is from one of the Louvre's entrance, don't quite show how big and beautiful!

Next update from India!!!

Thank you life and my friend Manu, one of his friend will come and pick me up at the airport.  Got to admit it is reassuring!

Bonne journée à tous!
Have an amazing day all!

English will follow

_____

Paris is beautiful, I'm enjoying every moments!  The keyborad is not like ours, which forces me to use only two fingers to type.  It makes it long!

I saw the Eiffel tower by night and by day; it is much more beautiful by night.

I promis a few pics soon!!

September 20, 2010

Here is just a test pic, to test both the camera and how it will look in the blog.  It is my friend Emily at work, what a nice photo studio!

I wish you all an amazing day!
Talk to you soon!

Preparing for a new begaining in my life...

It is certainly not easy to change your whole life, which is I guess the main reason why most people don't, even when they really feel they should.

I feel like there is a million things to think about, and so little time.
